LC Description:
Over 50 women scientists, mathematicians and engineers are part of KU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as well as its Schools of Engineering and Pharmacy. Young women working towards careers in these fields may feel somewhat isolated and separated by these administrative divisions, but most majors in science, mathematics and engineering (STEM fields) start out in the same basic curricula of science and mathematics. This community will focus on commonality as well as diversity across these disparate fields, and will call on KU's women faculty to serve as mentors. Students should consult the specific requirements for their intended major for course selection.
