LC Seminar Description:
In response to concerns about global climate change and other environmental and health-related issues, households and businesses throughout the globe are "going green".  For many so-called greening efforts, "sustainability" is the goal - going beyond just being eco-friendly to incorporate economic and social responsibility as well.  This LC will explore this concept of sustainability and how it is reshaping the world in which we work, live, and play.  In addition, students will be engaged in a service-learning project aimed at promoting sustainable practices on campus and/or in the community.
