LC Faculty Fellowship Application
Faculty Fellowship Initiative:
Interdisciplinary Learning Communities
A Faculty Facilitator (FF's) facilitates the one-credit hour course, LA&S 101, Learning Community Seminar, with a Peer Educator (PE) as well as ensures that the goals of the Learning Community (LC) are met. Most of the FF.s are faculty members in the field of one of the paired courses, but may also be an academic staff member or experienced teaching assistant, with teaching experience in the area(s) of interest of the LC.

FF Expectations

  • Become familiar with the syllabi for both paired courses; design activities or assignments that draw upon concepts from both courses, helping students to experience the intellectual connection.

  • Suggest campus community and professional resources to support the LC seminar: study abroad, service learning, summer research and internship opportunities
